My Father

My Father has been helping me to improve my self my whole life. He grew up in a small village in Saudi Arabia. He likes helping people every time, so he loves helping his family. He always supports me by give me anything I need such as money. One of the most thoughtful gifts I have received from him is a new car.
Sometimes he gives me good advice about everything in order to fix my mistakes; furthermore, when I have problems I go to him as ha has good solutions.
He always encourages me to study hard to obtain the highest degrees in order to get a good job with a good salary. Consequently, I got a bachelor's degree in Special Education, and I'm going to continue my school to get a master's degree and then a Ph.D.
Therefore, he allowed me to go to the U.S in order that develop my self via learning a new language, and continue my goals.
In the end, my father has always been an inspiration to me, and he is everything for me.

My Paraphrases

Writing Class, P.134
Paraphrases
Original Passage 4

Source: Page 48 of a nine-page magazine article written by Jeffrey Kluger. The article appeared on pages 42-50 in the January 26, 2004, issue of Time maga¬zine. The title of the article is "Mission to Mars: First the Rover Lands, and Now Bush Wants to Send People. We Can Do It Even Faster Than Planned, but Here Is What It Will Take."
Speed is everything on the way to Mars and not only because a seven-month trip in a confined space can be torturous. The bigger problem is that it can be lethal because of radiation exposure in deep space, where the absence of Earth's magnetic field leaves astronauts far more exposed to deadly cosmic energy than they are in orbit or on the way to the moon.

My paraphrases:
The most important thing to go to Mare is speed beside more than six months journey is circuitous because it is in a tight space. The radiation exposure in outer space could be fatal because there is no Earth's magnetic field, so astronauts could be exposed to any problem from cosmic energy; in contrast, they could be safer in orbit or on the way to the moon (Kluger, 2004, P.48).

Living in The U.S

Have you ever lived or wanted to live in a foreign country? If yes, which one?
Image what is the daily life for you.

For me, I have been living in the U.S for almost two years to continue my school. During of this period of time I learned more than I want.

Studying not only what I've learned, but also I learned how I live without any help or reliance on any person.
Also, I learned some of the culture of the country where I live.
I made new friends from different nationalities.

Living on your own far from your family gives you a lot of experiences to become a responsible person; for example, when you go to your school an alone, clean your apartment, wash your clothes, and pay your bills.

Moreover, you will have independent decisions in your life, and you bear responsibility for those decisions; for instance, when you decide to study at university, choose specific major, move to a new apartment, and buy a car, you remain responsible about those decisions.

Living in the U.S can be difficult for anyone; however, it helps you to build your character, and you can feel the difference in your personality comparing people who live around you.

Also, it will be a period of your life you will never forget it especially if you got the positive effect.

My Wonderful Trip ..

Hi everyone!
It is my pleasure to contact with my classmates via my blog. Please feel free to post your comments or questions about my blogging.

One of my amazing trip is when I have been to Phuket Island, Thailand. However, it is not easy to go there especially for Saudis because they have prohibited by the Saudi government from traveling to Thailand Since 1989. If traveling to Thailand without permission, a Saudi’s passport will be revoked for a period of time.

Nevertheless, I have been to Phuket Island, which is the biggest island, located in the west coast of Thailand, without any permission once.

It is one of the best islands, which is full of natural beauty, I have ever seen.

I went there, for people there are very friendly, easily smile, and are nice to everyone; besides, it has a great climate. Also, there are a lot of activities, and attractive hotels and resorts that lure me to Phuket Island, Thailand.

There, I felt relaxed and stress-free, as I need for my vacation.

I recomend for everyone to go there to see what I have seen and to do what I have done, but the only problem with visiting Phuket Island, Thailand is you will never want to leave.
